Building up a sweat is a great way to get the blood moving and to flush out all the build up fluids and toxins in your skin. Though the pores and sweat glands are not directly connected, the general flow of fluids is great for softening up the skin and unclogging the pores.
Although this activity can be extremely beneficial for your skin, if you aren’t careful it can, in fact, be detrimental. It is very important that you wash your face before and after vigorous exercise to make sure that oils do not remain on your face and sink into your pores. Also, make sure that all makeup is removed before sweating, you don’t want the sweat it carry it into your pores and down the rest of your face! After exercise, pat down with a clean towel and apply moisturizer.
Staying fit through exercise will also encourage your body to keep the good circulation of blood and nutrients, giving you a radiant complexion. Many people find that exercise also motivates them to eat and drink healthily. Eating plenty of fresh fruit and drinking lots of water is one of the best ways to reduce blackheads and acne. Most importantly though exercise will make you feel happier and healthier. When you feel healthy, you look healthy!
